Premier Inn Ulverston

Our room was comfortable and clean, and we had a friendly welcome from Sam and Brendon. Brendon served us in the restaurant, was very patient and gave us helpful advice about the meals. The service was excellent, as was the food, and the ice cream sundaes were so good. We ate there during our lovely stay at Premier Inn Ulverston, and couldn’t fault things from check-in to check-out. We haven’t tried breakfast through the meal deal yet.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was good. Booking a table for either dinner or breakfast was easy. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. The car park is small and a bit tight in places, and its entrance is slightly hidden, so it isn’t obvious.

We had breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday. Sunday was much busier, but the food was good, with the usual Premier choices of hot or continental. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly. Staff were lovely and friendly, and there’s plenty of parking, including some covered spaces. It was packed even on a cold, wet February weekend, so maybe Ulverston has a hidden secret. The rooms were standard for Premier, and you need to book for meals, whether breakfast or dinner. We stay here when visiting my dad in Ulverston. It’s a little out of the way but still in town, which works perfectly for us. We’ll definitely return.

The views are average and the hotel feels oddly placed, but the room was fairly comfortable and met its 4-star expectation. The bed and sheets were nice, and there’s a cute little table under the TV, with sockets easy to reach. The TV itself was good quality, though it had few channels. The room was clean-ish, with a decent supply of tea and coffee. The bathroom was okay, but the shampoo was empty and took an hour to refill. The ceiling is VERY low, and we could hear the people above us easily. Service could have been better, and so could the location.
