The house was spotless and nicely decorated, with enough room for all 12 of us to sit down for meals together. A fabulous farmhouse for a family holiday. We’d definitely come back.

The setting is quiet and rural, surrounded by lovely countryside, with several towns and villages a 10-30 minute drive away. I’d suggest it if you want somewhere peaceful, and it was excellent value for money. I spent a week in one of the self-catering cottages and it suited my needs, including having enough parking. In late autumn the heating was on and the cottage felt cosy. Mine had a small but adequate kitchen, a fold-away table and a large upstairs bedroom. The stairs are narrow and steep, so they may not suit everyone.

A brilliant cottage, with a knowledgeable owner, close to the beach and amenities.

It’s a local farm that’s been here for ages.
