St Maur

The old place has a lovely proper British atmosphere, with a great bed and a delicious, generous breakfast. Lisa was so friendly at breakfast and made us feel at home, and the owner was absolutely lovely and kind. Our room was spotless, spacious and cosy, and we got a really warm welcome.

The staff were all amazing, and David was especially helpful and a good cook. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice. We had such a restful stay in a large room with a big bathroom and balcony. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The room was a dream, with a lovely sea view to wake up to. It was bright and had comfy armchairs where we could sit with a morning coffee and look out over the garden and sea. The bathroom felt luxurious, with lots of space, a classic roll-top bath, steady hot water, fluffy towels and lovely high-end toiletries. The B&B was spotless throughout. Breakfast exceeded our expectations. The fresh fruit salad was especially good, and the whole meal felt carefully made with quality ingredients. We had a happy, restful stay and didn’t want to leave. The friendly host and staff welcomed us warmly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The service was thoughtful, and they gave us great advice on local places to eat. We can’t wait to return. Thank you again.

David, the owner, is amazing, friendly and helpful. He gardens and plays piano. The room was clean and extra spacious, looking out onto the front garden, and there are flowers everywhere. It’s a little green paradise. If you’re tired of noisy cities and fancy relaxing to an impromptu piano concert, this is the place. Lovely in any season.
