We stayed two nights and had a really good time. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. There’s plenty of parking, and both the landlady and the local pub crowd were friendly. A handy spot for visiting Padstow. We’d happily stay again.

The staff were welcoming, and everything came out on hot plates. The cauliflower cheese was homemade and delicious, and the rest of our Sunday lunch was outstanding. It’s been a long time since we had such a good meal out. Such a lovely pub for lunch, highly recommend.

A short bus ride gets you to Padstow and the beaches, and the stops are very close by if you’re not driving. This is a charming little inn used by locals, with tidy rooms, good breakfasts and nice meals.

We only stayed one night, but I’d have been happy to stay longer. It’s a friendly little pub run by a lovely lady, with good food and a real community feel. The location works well for Padstow, Newquay and other family attractions nearby.

I felt completely ripped off at £166. The website is four years out of date, and the menu online bore no resemblance to the poor menu actually available. They’d run out of salad on a quiet Sunday, so none came with our starters. The starters were poor and expensive, the chips greasy, and the cottage pie had cheap, school dinner type mince. We skipped dessert. The scampi was the worst I’ve ever been served, grey, breaded cylinders of fried fish flavoured mush. My son ate it because he was starving and loves chicken nuggets, but Mum and I couldn’t eat it. It wasn’t even Iceland quality. I could have cooked better at home. No wonder pubs are going out of business.
