Sitting by the brook listening to the birds and watching the stream was so peaceful. The rooms were huge and beautifully presented, and the beds were really comfortable. The bus to Padstow stops right outside and takes about 10 minutes, with more buses onward from there. The food was impeccable, and steak night was well worth the money. Dinner felt intimate and romantic, and the hosts couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice, and Debbie was always helpful and friendly. It's a family-run place, and you can tell they're passionate about making each stay special and going the extra mile. The service really made the difference. We felt valued and well looked after, and we'll definitely be back. Thank you so much!

The hosts were so welcoming, and we had a lovely stay. There was plenty of tea and coffee in the room, plus fresh milk when we arrived. Over our three nights, we tried three different breakfasts and couldn't fault any of them. One of the best places we've stayed.

I hadn't booked, rather naively thinking I could just walk in after seeing the photos and menu, but they bent over backwards to make my meal work out. The food was delicious and presented impeccably, so while it isn't cheap, I didn't think it was overpriced. The “Sunshine” cider from Padstow was a bonus: champagne yeast, dry, complex and delicious. Shame it's not more widely available. There's lovely outdoor seating and an atmospheric restaurant inside. I didn't stay overnight, so can't comment on the rooms, but residents have a large outdoor area with swinging chairs by the river. Idyllic.

The garden is peaceful and a lovely place to unwind. The Old Mill House is beautiful, and I couldn't have asked for better service. My room was spacious and clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The rooms were comfortable and a little dated, which we actually liked. Staff were really friendly, too, and there's a nice country walk into Padstow. We had a fantastic couple's stay for a couple of nights this summer, with food as the main highlight. Some of the best meals we've had in the area.
