Holiday Inn Express Birmingham - Walsall

The rooms could use a refresh, as the décor and furniture are showing their age. They were still clean and everything worked, though, so the stay was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast being included was a nice extra. Handy location for the M6 and Birmingham.

Jordan and Louise were particularly good, polite, efficient, and easy to talk to. My wife has coeliac disease, and they clearly explained the food choices. We both ordered pizza, and mine was surprisingly tasty, with a lovely base and great toppings, even though I hadn’t expected much. We were just stopping overnight on a trip, and the location was ideal, only a few minutes from the M6. The room was great, and we’re looking forward to breakfast after a good night’s sleep. Thanks!

The wet room shower was a real problem. Water spread across the whole floor and made it slippery enough to feel unsafe. The accessible room itself was okay, and we didn’t hear traffic. The hotel was spotless, and the staff were pleasant and helpful, especially Emma. We also enjoyed the evening meal and the breakfast.

We were visiting family, so the location suited us perfectly, with very easy access to the M6. The motorway is close, but it didn’t disturb us in the room and we slept really well. The room was great, and breakfast was first rate. Can’t fault the stay.
