Spring Hill Suites

We all loved our week here, including our two children. There are facilities for cooking meals, and Claire checked in each morning to see if everything was okay. She welcomed us when we arrived and was always at the end of the phone if we needed anything. Lovely views, a beautiful setting, and walks and places to see nearby. We’d recommend staying here without hesitation and hope to come back soon.

I booked through Booking.com for the MotoGP because this converted stable was close enough to cycle to Silverstone. It’s a basic place in the middle of nowhere, with no facilities on site or nearby, but the £256 price for three nights seemed worth it for the location. The next day, they contacted me directly and demanded £195 a night instead, £585 total, or said I had to cancel. I explained it was a special birthday trip for my wife, that the MotoGP meant there was no other accommodation in the area, and that I was open to a sensible price increase. They didn’t care and still insisted I cancel through Booking.com. Booking.com was worse than useless, and I ended up cancelling. I have no idea where we’ll find a place now. Please be warned, this felt like a heartless, money-grabbing business and should be avoided.

A horse at the window woke us up, such a sweet surprise! The location is beautiful, and we’ll definitely book again.

Quiet, lovely setting, and the place was clean, comfortable, and nicely equipped.
