It made for a really good stay, and I’d give it five stars if the menu had more options and the steps to the front door weren’t so steep. Maybe I’m being churlish. Fabulous otherwise. 👍

The team did a lot to make us feel welcome and make the stay feel special. When the plumbing in our room caused a problem, they handled it quickly and with good grace. From the dining to the location, everything made for a relaxing, luxurious holiday. It was an exceptional experience.

We spent our wedding anniversary at Limestone hotel and loved the peaceful, cosy atmosphere and homely feel. There was a card and some cake waiting in our room, a thoughtful touch for the occasion. The food was delicious too. When our shower stopped working, a staff member sorted it out quickly. We’ll definitely be back!

The restaurant was a real highlight: my partner was full of praise for her crab bisque and lobster. The hideaway also has its own verandah, and it was a lovely place for pre-dinner drinks. We found it vacant after a booking mix-up with another hotel, and were honestly glad it happened. The location was great, with what felt like our own treetops and a friendly robin. The bed was super, the shower spotless, and apple cake with clotted cream was waiting on arrival. All in all, if you have the chance to stay, don’t think twice.

We booked with only about 30 minutes’ notice, but Claire gave us a warm welcome and had the room ready. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed, including lovely homemade biscuits. Dinner and breakfast were both great, with gluten-free and veggie options we really appreciated. The hand-drawn map of the surrounding area was a lovely touch. A perfect short stay at the Limestone Hotel.
