The food is a real speciality here, so book dinner ahead. The dining room is small and gets very popular. We’ve stayed twice and would happily recommend it. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, and the lovely, friendly couple who run the hotel make it feel unique.

I chose this lovely place for my mum’s 70th birthday and was so glad I did. The food was fantastic and the service excellent. The staff even put a candle on her dessert and sang happy birthday. I’d definitely recommend it.

Richard and Helen are as welcoming as ever. We had a lovely evening at the Old Post Office with our young adult kids and my mother in law, and everyone found something they liked, from open chicken pie to sea trout saltimbocca. I started with a raspberry fizz martini, which got the evening off to a very good start.

We had a wonderful few days at Warkworth Old Post. Jon and Anna were genuinely interested in their guests, and welcomed us with a lovely cup of tea. The rooms were gorgeous, and breakfast was scrummy, beautifully cooked and presented. Delightful in every respect. Thankyou.

It was relaxed and we never felt rushed. The chef came over to talk us through the new menu, and the food and wine were great. Pretty special, and highly recommended.
