The Thomas Lord

There was a lovely little spot outside our room with a table and chairs, and birdsong going all the time. The room itself was superb, very clean, with a comfortable bed, plenty of hot water and a fantastic shower. Tea, coffee, fresh milk, bottled water and a mini fridge were all there too. The Thomas Lord staff and local regulars made us and our dog feel welcome, chatted with us and suggested a few walks from the pub. It’s dog friendly in both the pub and rooms. Food was exceptional, with a big choice of dishes and drinks, and we left feeling very looked after by the friendly staff.

The breakfasts were some of the best we’ve had away from home, with plenty of choice and a chef who made sure our dietary needs were covered. We had a fantastic two-day winter break on a special offer. Our room was in a cabin on the pub grounds, so there was no noise at night. The facilities were excellent, from the super king bed and comfortable pillows to the high-end toiletries, lovely drinks selection and great shower. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended, we’ll be back.

Paul and the staff were excellent, and the food was delicious 😋. It was our first visit to Thomas Lord yesterday and we were very happy with it. The pub is lovely and cosy, and our room was spacious and clean. The homemade shortbread biscuits were yummy too. My husband, dog and I will definitely return.

We had a lovely Valentine’s weekend here. The inn served delicious food and the staff were friendly. Our room was beautiful and luxurious, but also practical for us with a dog. The area is great for walks and close to Winchester. We’ll definitely come back.
