Glebe Hotel

Another very pleasant stay. I’ve been here lots of times, and it’s consistently excellent. The food is lovely, the staff are helpful, and the room was nice and quiet. The pool is relaxing, and even the gym is well equipped for a hotel.

The building is beautiful, the rooms are cosy, and the staff are wonderful. It’s quiet, with a swimming pool, bar, sauna, steam rooms and gym, so it has what you’d expect from a hotel. For the price compared with other hotels nearby, it’s a bargain. Seems ideal for company events, wedding receptions, and business travellers like me who want a quiet, good night’s rest. I spend a lot of time in hotels, and this is the best one for me. The staff and manager work hard to make your stay enjoyable, and nothing feels like too much trouble. You feel their warmth, friendliness and professionalism as soon as you walk in. The food is delicious, and the pool, gym and spa therapies are well worth a visit. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The breakfast was really good, and the coffee was outstanding. I also liked the restaurant, especially with its opening onto the lovely gardens. Staff were polite, lovely and helpful, and the whole place had a relaxed, welcoming feel. Our room, 203, was big enough for our family of four but very dated and far too hot. There was a fan in the wardrobe. The bathroom looked brand new, modern and stylish, though the shower pressure was a bit pants. The hotel feels half old fashioned, dated and a little scruffy, and half modern. It was a very relaxed stay, and we’re definitely coming back. It’s a beautiful little village too.
