Cambridge Water House Apartments

We’d travelled from different parts of the country for a weekend here, and they cancelled our booking on arrival day. When we asked for help, the person who answered the phone was awful and very rude, saying “not my problem” before hanging up. Shocking service. I’d give zero stars if I could. Avoid this place.

It was clean, with plenty of towels, tea, coffee and other facilities, and getting into Cambridge was convenient. The accommodation itself was good. A couple of things in the cottage felt odd, especially the glass panes in the internal doors and a single bed in the living room. Still, it was a good place to stay.

The owner was so accommodating, and we loved our stay. The cottage-style apartment was beautiful and quaint when we arrived, with amazing, spacious rooms, lots of hanging space, and everything very clean. I’d happily recommend the property and would definitely stay again.

The place was clean and tidy, and handy for Newmarket Races if you’re able to drive or take a taxi. You can also get the train to Cambridge. I slept on the sofa bed, though, and the kitchen Velux really needs a blind because the morning light comes in so strongly.
