The George Inn

We’re so grateful to the whole team at The George. Our guests kept mentioning the delicious food and how lovely the pub felt, and it made the celebratory meal after our ceremony feel special. The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and full of character, and the food was beautifully served. From the start, the team treated us and our guests with so much care and professionalism. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. We couldn’t have picked a better place for our wedding meal, and would happily recommend it for a wedding or another special occasion.

What could have been a terrible night turned into a memorable, genuinely lovely experience. My partner and I had broken down and were almost without anywhere to go. The staff and locals welcomed us warmly, offered us food and drinks, and even said we could stay the night if we needed. The drinks were great and the food smelled amazing. Thank you all for being so kind.

We had a wonderful couple of nights here. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was great, and the location was perfect. Looking forward to coming back.

Back for lunch for my second visit, with two others who have been here many times. It was just as good as the first time, with great service and excellent food. Thanks, we’ll be back.
