The personal touches were everywhere. One evening I brought takeaway back, and Andrew even offered a spread of condiments, including tartar sauce for my fish and chips. The dining room can also be used as a guest lounge, and you can book a slot for the home-cooked breakfast. Andrew and his family made us feel at home and went out of their way to help. The inn is a converted house, so there are different bedrooms and staircases, but it suits that kind of place perfectly. It’s cozy, full of character, thoroughly clean, and the beds are genuinely comfy. I’d absolutely stay again if I’m in the area.

This was our second stopover on the way to Cornwall, and I’m sure we’ll come again. The room and bathroom were immaculate, with beautiful bedding and furnishings. Andrew clearly loves being a host, and there are thoughtful little extras throughout. Breakfast was lovely and good value. It’s quirky, clean, comfortable, family run, and great value. Just the place if that’s what you’re after.

The owners were very pleasant and helpful, and you could ask for a different breakfast if you fancied a change. The food was very good, and the bed was really comfortable. Definitely recommend.

There’s a bus stop right across the road for Taunton, and the owners were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy, and I appreciated the shoe horn in the room, I’d never seen one provided before. It’s right in the town centre but still quiet, with nice decor. Breakfast isn’t included, which is handy if you’re leaving early, and it’s reasonably priced if you do want to eat there. The dining room stays open all day if you want to bring back a takeaway.

Andrew was a fantastic, helpful host, and the room was clean, quiet, and cozy. My girlfriend and I stayed a few days in Wellington to visit my grandparents, and we felt very safe and comfortable at the Blue Mantle Guesthouse. We’re looking forward to coming back soon.
