Premier Inn Welwyn Garden City

For a night away just before Christmas, this was extremely good value. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and both the room and breakfast were excellent.

We’d booked at the last minute after another hotel double-booked us. When we got to our first-floor room, we found the toilet unflushed and dirty towels screwed up on the vanity. I went straight to reception and told Darren the Reception Manager. He was very apologetic and understanding, moved us to another room, and offered breakfast the next morning to make up for the inconvenience. We appreciated how quickly and thoughtfully he sorted it out.

The room was right by the railway, so the trains were very loud. There was noise from the room above as well. The hotel and room both felt very tired. Maybe it’s great if you like trains, but I won’t be back, and I’ll stick with Premier inn for a while.

We stayed here for a wedding and found everything in great condition. The eating area looked really new, and breakfast was fantastic as always. Our ground-floor room had a window that opened, which we were very pleased about. The team were friendly and happy to help with anything. Parking was good, and there’s a petrol station right opposite.
