OYO The Arch, Wembly Stadium

We booked for the Coldplay concert back in September, but when we arrived, Vishal at reception said the booking had been cancelled. We hadn't received an email or any other notice beforehand from the hotel or booking platform. When we contacted the staff and OYO Rooms, we got no explanation. Hotels.com did give us a full refund. Be careful booking here, especially around a big event.

I flew in from Dublin for a Coldplay concert at Wembley and arrived to find a group of angry guests in the pub. Their rooms had apparently been rebooked, with no cancellation notice, and the same had happened to me. Reception staff said the bookings had been cancelled two days earlier, but none of us had been told. My Airbnb booking still showed as active, and there was no cancellation listed. They'd apparently given the rooms to new guests at extortionate prices without cancelling the original bookings. More people kept arriving to find themselves in the same situation. The staff were completely unhelpful and refused to speak to us. I was shocked by how little empathy they showed after leaving people without a place to sleep. I had to find somewhere to stay in London at the last minute. Be warned if you're considering this place for a Wembley concert.

For £90 a night in London right beside the venue, I wondered what the catch would be. The room was clean and tidy, with a nice new bathroom and a great shower. Staff made us feel welcome, and the bar downstairs was pleasant and well stocked. I'd definitely stay again.

We were left without a room after travelling, which caused a lot of stress. Our reservation was cancelled while we were standing in the lobby, and staff rudely dismissed us, saying it “wasn’t showing up” and refusing to help. Other guests were dealing with the same thing at the same time, so this seems to be a pattern. Avoid booking here. It's untrustworthy and unprofessional, and not worth the stress of having your trip disrupted.
