Jet Black Jewel

We had breakfast in the really nice cafe, and the staff were very pleasant. The decor is quirky, and I'd recommend the room or the cafe. We stayed for two nights in a smaller room and hadn't realised it had a skylight instead of a window. Even so, it was roomy enough, with a great bathroom, and was clean and comfortable. The central location was good, check-in was easy, and we found parking easily on a nearby street.

On our second visit we had brunch, my husband ordered the Hand of glory breakfast hash and I had the Whitby Rarebit. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was excellent, and the woman who served us was polite, friendly and chatty. I didn't catch her name, but all the staff were smiley and polite. The chef is very talented, and the food was top notch, really tasty and beautifully presented. We got to chat with him too, and he was friendly and chatty. It's a lovely quirky cafe. We'll be back soon and would definitely recommend giving it a try.

The people in Whitby were so friendly and made us feel at home. Our room at Jet black jewel was beautiful, and the bed was really comfortable. I was lucky to get a tour of the lovely boutique hotel too, so thank you for that. We had an amazing stay and will definitely come back. ❤️

The cafe and bar at the hotel are popular with locals and visitors, and the place is brilliantly located. Jodie does an amazing job with breakfast and lunch, and the owner and team are so warm. My friend had two very comfortable nights here after travelling from Leicestershire on three trains. The room was immaculate, quiet, and beautifully put together, with a safe and clear instructions for the doors. It was the smallest room, but easily big enough for two, and just the right temperature, with a very comfortable bed. Parking was easy to manage: you can use a disc from the lobby for an hour while unloading, then get a parking scratch card from your room. The parking zones are very close by. 🥰🤗😊☀️🪷
