Resolution Hotel

We were disappointed when we came down for dinner at 8:00 p.m. and were told the kitchen had already closed. No one had warned us the restaurant stopped serving so early, and it spoiled the visit. The building itself is beautiful, our room was spotless and spacious, and the location is great.

The rooms were very clean and tidy, and the bed and pillows were amazing. They'd left Twinings tea and Nescafé coffee, plus an iron and ironing board in the room. The receptionist was so helpful and friendly, and we also got free parking for two days. We'd highly recommend staying here, and we'll be back. Thanks for having us.

Breakfast was freshly cooked, with lots of hot and cold choices, and they happily accommodated food allergies and sensitivities. A special mention to Lorraine, Janet and Paul in the breakfast area, especially Lorraine, who went above and beyond. The hotel is well kept, the rooms nicely decorated, and the bathroom is a good size with a great shower and plenty of hot water. The location is perfect. Nearby street parking is charged, so you'll need a token from the hotel. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning.

We loved the hotel, especially the friendly staff, lovely room and very good breakfast with lots of choice. There isn't a car park, but the hotel gives you a permit. Once you understand the system it's easy enough. Whitby was quiet when we visited, so finding a space was easy, though I'm not sure how it is during busy periods. We'd definitely stay again.
