Seacrest Guest House

The location made it easy to get to the shops and beach, and there were recommendations for nearby breakfast places. We had a beautifully decorated top floor room with a roof window and a view of the sea. Andy texted to ask when we’d arrive, then had the room ready much earlier than the stated check-in time, even though we’d said we were happy to arrive later. After we handed back the key the next day, my boyfriend was kindly allowed to leave his bag until our train. We talked about our bullie, the apple of my eye, and our worries about bringing him somewhere so lovely. We were assured he’d be welcome in the pet friendly guest room. Seeing their beautiful boxer made me feel like I wouldn’t be judged for his breed or big personality, and that we could relax with our fat headed goofball there. We had the best time. Thank you!

We loved our two nights here. The twin room was just right for me, my partner and our 7 year old, clean and tidy, and it smelled amazing. The staff were wonderful, especially the lady, who couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was delicious and they were really accommodating. It’s a quiet place with lovely decor, and great value for a B&B. We’ll come again. Thanks for having us!

Alison pointed us to The Granby Hotel for a full English breakfast, which was a great price and kept us going all day. We’d definitely recommend staying here. We’ve just returned from a 3 night bank holiday weekend and found the host really helpful. The location was brilliant, and on-street parking was £2.50 per day. We were lucky enough to find a space right outside the guesthouse. We loved seeing the boxer dog looking out the window when we left and came home. We were surprised that drinks and boat trips cost less than expected at a seaside resort. Whitby is lovely. Thank you.

We enjoyed the breakfast and had a good stay, and would recommend it. The beach is about a 5 minute walk away, if that. Parking may not be available right outside the B&B. I think we were just unlucky to arrive when there was a wedding on, as there’s a church nearby. The walls are pretty thin, and one night I was kept awake by a man snoring next door.
