Kerstin was a warm, welcoming host, and the breakfast she made in her lovely home was delicious. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully furnished, with plenty of charm and character. It's a delightful place, and I'd highly recommend it. While you're there, take a look at Kerstin's beautiful handmade bags. They're well worth seeing.

The building itself is beautiful, full of character, and in a perfect location. My room was a good size, the shower was fine, and the nearby off-license was handy when I was unfamiliar with the area. I could get to my friend's hotel and other places nearby quickly. On those points alone, I'd give the B&B five stars. But I won't return unless I hear there has been a change in management. Kerstin, who manages it, contacted me on arrival day because she had personal errands and asked whether I'd realistically arrive by 5pm. A later check-in suited me, so I had no problem with that. More delays came up, though, and I was running late. I was travelling by train between the scheduled strikes, and while I was still on my way Kerstin called. Her tone wasn't pleasant as she went over the timing, said I'd need to let myself in if I arrived later, and asked how far away I was. I was taken aback, but answered politely, even though I felt I had every right to push back. I'd booked two nights, and my sisters were joining for the second; I explained that and paid the extra charge. At the last minute, my sister's son's father dropped out of looking after him, so she had to bring her three-year-old. I didn't know until they arrived quite late, and assumed it wouldn't be a big problem since he could stay within the room's facilities. I intended to explain and apologise for the unexpected change as soon as I had the chance. At breakfast, Kerstin made it very clear, and in a really uncomfortable way, that she was unhappy my nephew was there without her knowing. My sister immediately apologised and explained what had happened, but Kerstin's attitude was ghastly. The internet was also very weak and didn't reach my guest room. I was at a wedding as a bridesmaid that weekend and wasn't around much, but it would have mattered more if I'd had downtime. Breakfast looked and tasted reasonable, but was more like something to decorate your belly than a satisfying meal. Her customer service left a lot to be desired. She should be less personal in how she deals with guests and more flexible about check-in and checkout times when unexpected delays happen. I paid full price as a customer, not £70 for the weekend as a relative.

The rooms were really clean and the beds comfortable, with lovely little touches that made them feel homey. Fantastic B&B, wholeheartedly recommend.

I enjoyed my stay here. The B&B is really nice, beautiful, and clean, and the surroundings are lovely and idyllic. The owners are very friendly, lovely people. Highly recommended.
