The room was immaculate and bigger than your average hotel room, with thoughtful little extras like shampoo, conditioner and peppermint tea. The breakfast was delicious too, made with quality products and cooked really well. The owners were friendly and helpful, and it’s a lovely quiet location. Only small drawback was the short breakfast window, 8-9am, but that doesn’t take away from how nice the place and owners are.

I got there shortly before 8pm for my two-night booking, and the host called to say I could no longer check in. There was no room for me and no refund, and they wouldn’t even let me check in for the second night. Rude. Scammer!!!

The house is old and full of character, and the rooms are comfortable and practical. Bernadette was such a warm, friendly host. Her breakfast was amazing, the best cooked breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel or B&B. Thanks for looking after us, Bernadette x

This has become a home from home for me, as I regularly stay when visiting a relative nearby. The single room is a lovely size and always spotless. I really enjoy the cooked-to-order breakfast, and the hosts are warm and welcoming without being intrusive. It’s excellent value, and I’m already looking forward to coming back.

My room was very comfy, and our hostess was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, though I was too full after the full English to try all the homemade jams. It’s just a couple of minutes’ walk to the seaside and town centre. I stayed with my dog, and there’s a fenced park about a block and a half away for a safe quick run. I’d definitely stay here again if I get the chance.
