Berkeley Hotel

There’s entertainment most evenings, and the staff are friendly. The food was nice too. Our room was clean but dated, and phone signal and WiFi were virtually nonexistent around the hotel.

The hotel is an easy walk from the shops, and the beach is just across the road. Weymouth is a wonderful place, and I’d come back. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable, though the drawers need updating. Staff were efficient, and the food was basic. You have to order dinner at breakfast, then order breakfast after your evening meal. Drinks are cash only, no cards. With a couple of tweaks, this could be a really nice hotel.

We had a really lovely stay here with Gibbons Coaches. My husband and I both enjoyed it. The room was beautiful and very clean, the food was absolutely delicious with a good varied menu, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We’d definitely recommend the hotel and come back for another stay.

The location worked well for getting out and about, about 10 minutes from town and the harbour and a 15 minute walk from sea life. I’d love to return next year. I only saw one staff member regularly, the barman, and he was a joy to have around. I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful meals each night, and the entertainment was fun. Bingo was fab, I won, and the table quizzes really made you think. The room was okay, but the toilet roll holder was broken and there was damp on the wall by the window. I was out most of the day and only used it to sleep. WiFi would be better throughout the hotel and rooms, as it was only available in the small upstairs seating area.
