We felt completely at ease thanks to the friendly, welcoming hosts. The sea-view room was very comfortable, with all mod cons and a lovely bed, and the breakfast was stunning. It's very close to the shops and restaurants. Another wonderful stay, and highly recommend!

The seafront location is hard to beat. We found the rooms spotless and a good size, and Sue and Alec made us feel genuinely welcome with their warmth and friendliness. Breakfast was 100%, freshly cooked and delicious, with great ingredients. We intend to return next year. Thank you xx ❤️

Alec and Sue were always ready to help and made us feel well looked after. We found the room comfortable and just right for us, with a lovely view of the sea. Breakfast was really nice, and parking was easy at this time of year. We had a very relaxing stay at Lichfield House and would happily recommend it.

Alec knew loads about places to visit, and we’ve already booked to come back next year. The home-cooked breakfast each morning was just right, and the room had an amazing sea view. Alec and Sue were so friendly and went out of their way for us. It felt like being at home, and we had a lovely holiday.

We got plenty of tips from Alec and Sue on where to go and where to eat. If you visit the Portland Lighthouse, pick up some scones from the Lobster Pot and bring them some! The hosts were lovely and friendly, and breakfast was great. Our room was nice and cleaned regularly. The best part was falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves.
