I’ve stayed three times in 2024, from peak season through to nearly the end of the season, and Penny has been A1 every time. She’s always cheerful, welcoming and ready to help. The rooms are clean and have everything you need, and her amazing breakfasts set you up for the day. I’m already planning another visit for 2025. See you soon.

The Philbeach works well for a stay of a few days. The proprietor is friendly and chatty, the decor has an artistic touch, and requests get dealt with. The beds are comfortable, and the full English breakfast keeps you going until early evening. It’s clean, though space is limited, and the wi-fi worked most of the time but was quite weak. For a longer stay, you might want more room. I’m happy to recommend it.

The bed was so comfortable, with lovely soft sheets, and the room had everything I could need, even beach towels we’d forgotten to pack. Breakfast was perfect every day and the food was really good. Such a wonderful host. We’ll absolutely come back. Thank you 😊

The only snag was having to park so far away in the car park. Penny was lovely and took brilliant care of us, and the room had everything we could possibly need. Breakfast was good quality too, served with a smile and a laugh.

The B&B is well placed for a bit of sightseeing, with shops, the beach and places of interest close by. Penny made us feel very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. Our bedroom was clean and comfy, and a lovely hot breakfast was just right before a busy day out. I’d recommend staying here.
