We’ve visited Weymouth for the last six years and tried a couple of places to stay. This B&B is the nicest, so we keep returning. Our rooms have everything we need, and breakfast is delicious. Sam and Richard are always great hosts. We choose a harbour facing room so I can paint and people watch, though there are also lovely rooms looking out to sea. It’s a handy spot for great walks, a typical British beach, good nearby food and sitting in the sun at local bars. A welcoming, relaxing place. Lovely.

Sam and Richard were wonderful hosts, and we’ll return sometime. Nothing was too much trouble. Our two night stay at The Cavendale came with lovely weather and a warm welcome. It’s a homely, cosy B&B overlooking the beach at the front and harbour at the back. Our spotless, nicely presented room had tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, and the shower room had everything except a toothbrush and toothpaste. Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked to order with quality ingredients and a big choice. It set us up for the day. Thank you for a delightful stay. X

The Cavendale is the best B&B I can imagine, in Weymouth or anywhere in the country. I’ve tried to find fault and just can’t. Sam and Richard do a fantastic job making sure guests have what they need for a great holiday. From the front rooms you get a lovely view along the seafront, while rooms at the back look over the harbour. The beach is just feet from the front door, the harbour is a two minute walk around the back, and the town centre is five minutes away. Plenty of places to eat and drink are within easy walking distance too. The rooms are light, modern, tidy and spotless, with everything you need, and the bathrooms are just as good. No temperamental showers here, everything works without any fuss. Breakfast is lovely, with quality full English ingredients, cereal and croissants. Richard cooks, Sam keeps everyone happy, and Richard makes a great omelette too. They cater for dietary requirements, and the breakfast room is perfect. If you’re planning a Weymouth holiday, I guarantee you won’t regret choosing The Cavendale. I guarantee you’ll come back if you visit Weymouth again.

Sam and Richard are two of the nicest people I’ve met, always checking that everything’s okay and doing all they can for you. They’re both chefs, and breakfast is out of this world. It’s a beautiful hotel, and this is definitely our go to place in Weymouth now. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely place with really tasty food close to the beach. Thanks for a lovely stay, Sam and Richard. See you again!

The rooms have fantastic views, and the location and service are excellent for the price. A limited number of free parking permits are available until checkout at 10am, if you can find a spot right near the Guest House. Highly recommended!
