The Seaspray

I had a very happy 10 nights, thanks to the lovely hosts, fantastic rooms and the best breakfast. I'll be back and highly recommend it.

The hosts weren't welcoming. They told my four year old to be quiet when he was speaking in a normal four year old voice, told him to sit down, and said not to touch the leaflets with his dirty hands, which weren't dirty. They were rude to me as well, telling me off for not leaving my breakfast request the night before, so instead of two full English breakfasts they only had to make one scrambled eggs. They also complained they'd been up since 7 am. The full English tasted like watery mushrooms. The non sea view room was tiny and stuffy, looking onto a wall and a main road. I felt like I was in a prison cell and couldn't bear another night, so I left early. It wasn't much cheaper than the sea view rooms, which looked nice and were a world away. The bathroom only had Carex hand wash, no shower gel, and they'd left all their cleaning products there. The toilet lid had black spots on it, not very inviting.

Tim and Susan were attentive hosts and made sure we had a positive stay at Seaspray. We loved our time there. The room was a delight, looking out across glorious Weymouth Bay, and made a great base for exploring. The breakfasts were truly scrumptious. We'll definitely be back and warmly recommend Seaspray.

The guest house is at the quieter end of the seafront, opposite the beach and near a small arcade. Our room had a small fridge and kettle, but backed onto the main road, so traffic was noisy. The lady who helped clear breakfast was lovely and chatty. The breakfast itself was small, with only one of each item, so it's lucky Weymouth has plenty of cafes. The place is very dated, and the owners were awkward and sadly had no people skills. The bed felt like a hammock, and the floor creaked and was uneven, with a few dips. There are many better places to stay in Weymouth.
