Twin Palms

A lovely, quirky guest house that feels homely, and it’s very clean and tidy. Julie and Mick are welcoming, down-to-earth owners. We’ll definitely be back.

I was very disappointed and unfortunately won’t return. The shower was a power shower, but far too hot to stand under, and I couldn’t get it cooler. The mugs were badly stained and looked rinsed rather than properly washed, so I went out and bought my own. The listing says tea and coffee, but I only found tea bags and sugar. I later spotted a little milk in the fridge inside the wardrobe, which I hadn’t used, and nobody mentioned it. The TV had no signal, and I’m unsure whether the free Wi-Fi worked because my phone went straight to 4G. I couldn’t ask about it as the owner had gone to bed. The website also needs updating: it says free parking, but a reservation is needed. When I asked, she had no permit and only pointed me to a street where parking was free, a 5-10 minute walk away. The rooftop was a dump and unusable. As I left, her little dog barked right at my heels, following me down the stairs and along the corridor. The owner was nowhere around, and I was worried it might get out through the door. Luckily, I managed to lock it in. The shower being in the room wasn’t an issue since I was on my own.

Twin Palms felt like home to us, with a lovely warm welcome and a comfortable stay close to the seaside. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it to everyone. We’ll come back every year! Thank you, Julie, Mike and Jamie! Maria and Nik 💞💞💞💞💞

We had a lovely time staying with julie and mick. We could come and go whenever we liked, without being tied to a schedule, and they were happy to help whenever we asked. We spent the evenings having a drink in the lovely roof garden. We’ll definitely go back when we can x
