Abbotsleigh of Whitby

Rob and Anita were perfect hosts and provided every little thing we could need. The garden is lovely, parking is easy, and the property is gorgeous. Our room was spotless and beautiful, with a great modern walk-in shower. There’s a door sign if you’d like your room serviced, but it’s your choice and no problem either way. Breakfast was outstanding, five-star. It’s perfect in every way, you won’t find better anywhere.

Breakfast was delicious and impressive every morning, and the owners were amazing. We’ll be back!

The hosts were very attentive, and the building has lots of character. Our room was very clean, with a well-stocked tea tray. The homemade biscuits were a lovely touch, as was the little flask of milk. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, which was very nice, and it was so welcome to find homemade cake in the dining room after a day touring. You could do a lot worse than staying here.

The hosts were so caring and made the stay feel really warm and special. We stayed in the spacious, beautifully decorated Starfish room, and parking right outside was easy. The location worked perfectly for us. Breakfast was the real treat, especially the homemade cakes and biscuits. I even passed on dessert at a pretty infamous local restaurant so I could save room for coffee and walnut cake!
