We spent Christmas at Park Place Apartment in Whitby, and hosts Jean & Rob made us feel especially welcome with lots of thoughtful little touches. The apartment is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a great week's stay. It's also ideally located close to the town centre.

We booked this apartment for a few days during our recent holiday so we could explore Whitby and the surrounding area. It looked ideal online, just a few minutes' walk from town, so we could leave the car and walk in for a meal or a drink. Booking was simple, the hosts replied quickly, and their messages were clear. The parking and self check-in instructions were spot on and made arrival easy. The place was a real gem, beautifully decorated throughout and spotless. I'm an avid '4in a bed' fan and usually try to find faults, but honestly, I couldn't. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, and the bedroom stayed quiet despite being close to town. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with powerful showers, and the towels are thick and fluffy. The kitchen is well equipped, with everything from washing-up liquid and cloths to tea, coffee, salt and pepper. They'd even left us a bottle of prosecco, a lovely touch. The living room has a good-sized TV, which we didn't use, but it seemed to have a firestick or something similar. There's a cupboard full of board games for rainy days, a corner with books, and tourist information we found useful. We'd definitely recommend it and will be back.
