Fine if you’re out all day, but we found the sofa really uncomfortable and there was no Wi-Fi or signal at all. The kitchen was short on saucepans, salt and pepper pots. The coffee machine leaked water everywhere, and the cups didn’t fit it anyway. Electricity and water don’t mix well, but we were still told to use it. Not a good Christmas holiday experience.

It’s a nice apartment layout and the parking is great. The main town is only a 10 minute walk away. The apartment feels very modern, but it badly needs a touch-up and decorating. At these prices, it should be spot on, and it just falls short.

The host communication was 10/10, and they were available 24/7. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed, including a handy washer-dryer. In summer it gets a bit hot: the apartment madison has no windows, just large patio doors, and being on the ground floor meant we couldn’t leave them open at night. If you like a cool bedroom, bringing a fan would help.

We loved Trenchers, The Star and Bothams for dinner, and Mademoiselles for cocktails. It’s just a short walk down the hill into town, and the on-site parking was really handy. We stayed in The Penthouse while our friends had the The Hampton, and both apartments were stunning, with a boutique feel and thoughtful decor throughout. Such a beautiful, high quality place. We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked for this coming summer!

We booked the Madison and really enjoyed having a private patio, along with free parking on site. The king size beds felt luxurious and were very comfortable. Inside, everything was spotless, with high end contemporary decor. A real bit of luxury in the heart of Whitby.
