The whole place was very clean, and our room had a lovely big bathroom with both a bath and shower. Freda & David made us feel like friends and were so helpful. We arrived to a pot of tea with scones, cream and jam, which was superb. Breakfast was amazing, with so much choice. Can't wait to come back.

David & Freda made sure we wanted for nothing during our brilliant four-night stay. There was tea and jam & cream scones waiting when we arrived, and a sweet treat in the room each time we returned. Breakfast had loads of choice too. Their ‘local knowledge’ persuaded us to leave the car parked and take a fantastic scenic bus ride across the North Yorkshire moors, change buses in Middlesbrough, and come back down the coast. We can't recommend Rosewood highly enough and are already planning another visit!!! D&J

It's a quiet little B+B, and the hosts really put guests first. Freda and David welcomed us with tea and scones, and left cakes or treats in our room in the evening. The room was clean and roomy enough for a short break, with a nice en suite bathroom. Breakfast has an enormous choice, from fruit and cereals through to a full English. Well worth the money.

Breakfast is second to none, from a full English and local kippers to Freda's compotes and infused fruits. Everything was so good. Dave and Freda make us feel welcome every time, just like visiting old friends. The rooms are spacious and spotless, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Whitby.

If you're after good value in Whitby, this is the place. Dave&Freda really go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome. The rooms are large and nicely furnished, with very comfortable beds. Breakfast is plentiful and you can choose from lots of things. Try the kippers with poached eggs. The full English is great too, as are Freda's fruit dishes. Pat&Steve Oct 4-7 2014.
