Sneaton Castle Centre

The day felt easy from start to finish because communication was consistent, and the team had things under control. I never felt overwhelmed, anxious or worried, so we could enjoy every moment. Our guests still have such positive memories and want to do it all again, and we do too. We got married at Sneaton Castle in October, and it was the most organised, elegant and fun venue I’ve been to. Every detail impressed us. The rooms are spacious, full of character and have lovely views; guests we booked into the Sneaton Wing were in awe of their rooms. We also had dinner in the restaurant the night before, and the food was stunning, which made us even more excited for the wedding. When we first visited Sneaton for the open day, we knew it was right for us and didn’t look at any other venues. I’m so glad, nothing could have compared. The place is gorgeous and beautiful. Viktor made the evening for us. He was warm, friendly and attentive, absolutely fantastic as our server. The food was impeccable, made with really good quality produce, and we couldn’t fault anything. For two starters, two mains, two desserts and four cocktails we paid £140. For food of that standard, we expected to pay a lot more. We’d highly recommend eating here and look forward to coming back.

The roast was delicious, with generous portions and good value, and the relaxed meal in Sneaton Castle’s setting made Sunday lunch feel special. We arrived a little before our booking, were welcomed warmly and offered a drink at the bar, then shown to our table about five minutes later. Very accommodating service. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Whitby.

We came over from the nearby campsite for Sunday dinner. The bar area is dog friendly, which was great for us, and there’s a lovely setup, a very good menu and an excellent choice of drinks. We ordered beef and pork from the Sunday menu, and both were delicious and cooked to a very high standard. The seasonal vegetables were excellent, and it was the best cooked parsnip I’ve had. The meat was perfect too. We were full by the end and left very satisfied, with no room for dessert.
