Georgian House Hotel

The Saturday birthday dinner was a real highlight. The service was spot on, the food was hot and excellent, and there was plenty of choice. We never felt hurried, and plates were cleared at a good pace. We booked seven rooms for an 80th birthday, and none of us had stayed here before. Steph kept us well informed beforehand, and what we found on arrival exceeded what we’d hoped for. From the first hello until we left two days later, the staff made us feel like family. We were on first-name terms, swapping stories, and it felt like a second home. Bentley the dog was wonderful too. The rooms are stylish, with thoughtful details and really good beds, linens and furniture. For breakfast, you fill in a sheet so your order is ready when you are. The menu has lots to choose from, and the breakfast itself was generous and outstanding. The service felt personal and professional, beyond what I’ve experienced at other hotels, even with 14 of us at the table. The first-floor lounge bar is welcoming and nicely decorated. There’s a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and the attentive bar staff brought them quickly. A couple of practical things: it’s an old house with staircases, and the little street has no on-site parking. There’s parking about a two-minute walk away for around £13 for 48 hours, and you can drive up to drop people off or collect them. We’d highly recommend staying here and will be back, if they’ll have us. 😂

We’re local and came in for a meal. The food and service were fantastic. Stephanie and her staff went above and beyond, and we had such an enjoyable night. A huge thanks to them. We’ll definitely be back soon.
