Hillview

We picked this B&B because of the enclosed garden, where we wanted the dogs to have room to run off lead. It worked out just as we hoped: they raced and played on the big open space. The huts are nice and very well equipped. The room and bed were huge, which we loved, and there are lots of windows and sunshine. The view over the fields to the hills is lovely. I guess that’s where the name comes from. The bathroom is a bit small but perfectly good enough. The alleyway and parking would be nicer paved, though I suspect that’s a public or council road for them to fix, not the owners’ responsibility. We’d definitely choose this place again if we stayed around Whitstable.

Jane and her merry band looked after us so well. We felt very welcome in the clean, spacious Garden Room with its en-suite. French doors open onto the garden, where there’s decking and plenty of seating. Our dogs were welcome too, with food and water bowls, a towel, treats, and toys. Breakfast was lovely and generous. Thank you so much 😊

Jane and Sharon were so helpful with every question and really went out of their way for us. We had two lovely nights at Hillview, with a quiet, restful setting, fabulous beds, and a friendly, homely feel. Breakfast was really nice too. It’s a lovely location, and we’ll be telling our friends about it.

We booked at the last minute and were warmly welcomed, with all the information we needed for our stay. The cabins are cute and well kept, and the garden is peaceful enough to hear the birds. The bed was comfy and everything we needed was provided. There’s a little green way nearby for the roughly 30-minute walk into town, and a taxi made getting back easy. Thanks 😊
