Hotel Continental

The buffet breakfast was very nice, and the food was excellent. My room was clean, well laid out and had everything I needed for my stay. The staff were polite and friendly. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and right next to the beach. I’d highly recommend staying here.

We’ve stayed here several times and always enjoy the visits. The rooms are small, but that doesn’t bother us, and they’re clean and well presented. I like the walk into town, and the sea views are lovely. Breakfasts are tasty and filling, with a good choice of cooked food, cereals and pastries. The staff are friendly.

The sea views and being so close to town made the location a real highlight. We had a hot, powerful shower and a very comfortable bed, and the room was clean, though compact. There was a small balcony through the patio doors. Staff greeted us warmly and explained that there are stairs to every floor. Wi-Fi was fine. The car park behind the hotel is small, but there’s plenty of street parking, charged at certain times. Breakfast was included, and dinner was excellent with good options. It was a little pricey, though that’s expected in the area. I’d definitely stay again.

We came for a private event and didn’t stay overnight. The estuary view from the comfortable room was stunning. The buffet had plenty of choice, with both vegetarian and meat dishes, and it was very good. Labels listing ingredients would have helped guests with dietary needs. We had to ask a staff member to check them. We’ll consider staying here next time we’re in Whitstable.
