I needed somewhere for a two day conference, and the room was quiet, clean, and had good facilities. It was handy to have dinner downstairs and then head back up. The beds and pillows are hard, which is perfect if that's what you like. I prefer soft ones, so unfortunately I didn't sleep well. It's down to personal preference.

The only thing to know is there's no lift if you need one. Otherwise, I was very happy here. I picked it for the reasonable price and convenient location while visiting a family member in hospital, and the room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and had everything I needed. I heard no bar noise on a Tuesday. Parking is free: use their pay and display car park, but don't pay, just give reception your registration when you arrive. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I felt comfortable eating alone in the bar and restaurant. Other bar customers didn't intrude.

Stopped in for something to eat and had the fish and chips and an all day brunch. Both were really good. Had a couple of beers too.

We've stayed here many times over the past five months to visit family nearby, and we'll definitely return soon. The room was clean and well maintained, and the food was fantastic value. All the staff are friendly. This time Lindsay, Caroline, Andrew and Ben went out of their way to help us.

Good value for a night with my girlfriend, and parking was free. Reception service was excellent, the food arrived quickly, hot and tasty, and the staff were friendly. They also have free tea and coffee in the pub downstairs. The only problem was the false fire alarm going off four times overnight.
