The Solway is just across the road, and there's a bus stop right outside the site. A few days after we arrived on Good Friday, we took a steady hour-long stroll along the Solway to Silloth and back. It felt like stepping back in time, with a bakery, Co-op, a couple of fish and chip shops, cafes, and a lovely park for kids. The site was immaculate and well kept, with hot showers and toilets that were always clean. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We were advised not to put up the awning because of Storm Dave, and were glad we listened.
