We picked this B&B for a night while visiting Wigtown's bookshops and had a really enjoyable stay. It’s in a quiet area, so we slept peacefully, and the spacious, well-equipped rooms were extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful. Our hosts did everything they could to make things easier for my friend, who uses a wheelchair. We'd happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

The hosts were warm, welcoming and attentive from the moment I arrived, and made the place feel friendly and relaxing. My room was peaceful and comfortable, a lovely place to unwind and enjoy Wigtown. Hillcrest B&B was beautifully maintained and spotless throughout. Everything showed care and attention, and my stay exceeded all expectations. I’d happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area looking for great accommodation and genuinely welcoming hosts.

Andy and Nic were warm and welcoming, and shared plenty of useful information. We had a lovely overnight stay at Hillcrest House on 16/8/2025, with a delicious breakfast and peaceful, picturesque gardens. We’d happily recommend this B and B.

The food was amazing, and the hotel had such a warm, friendly feel. It was my first stay at the Hillcrest, and I’d absolutely come back. Thank you!

The town centre is close by, making this a handy base for exploring this beautiful part of the country. Our room was fantastic, with a bath, and breakfast was generous. Such a gem, with great hosts. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
