The staff were friendly, and parking was easy. You pay at the reception consoles, with a £4 charge. Breakfast was plentiful, though the food had dried out a bit from sitting under the lamps too long. We went down at 9.15, so next time I might order an omelette cooked fresh.

The bar meal was hot and tasty, and breakfast was buffet style with properly hot food, which some hotels get wrong. Our room was spacious and had all the essentials, plus a handy fresh milk dispenser in the corridor instead of UHT. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean, and the shower hot and powerful. Staff were lovely and helpful, especially at reception, where the lively conversation was a refreshing change. I'd definitely stay again.

The hotel staff were consistently friendly, and breakfast was delicious British food each morning. It was also handy to have Tesco Express and some excellent Italian and Greek restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. I arrived in Manchester on 19 Oct after a 14 hour flight, and, because of jet lag and the time difference, hadn't realised it was too early to check in. The lovely receptionist managed to find me a spacious room looking out onto a garden. I was very grateful for that during my two-week stay, and for the comfortable visit overall. I wish I'd got the receptionist's name so I could thank her properly.

The parking needs to be paid for on arrival, and reception can give you a voucher code for a discounted 12 or 24 hours. My first-floor room was a little noisy during an evening event until around 2300, though it would probably only bother a very light sleeper. It was a convenient place to stay overnight near the airport, and I liked having a cozy little single room. It got warmer than I like, and I couldn't work out how to turn off the heating, so I left the window open all night. That seemed to help, though it felt wasteful, and maybe I just prefer a cooler room.
