The Stanneylands

As someone here long term for work, I’ve had a really good hotel experience. The food is fresh, healthy, and immaculate, and the whole team has been friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Big congratulations to everyone. I’d happily give it five stars any day. Thanks to The Stanneylands, it’s a pleasure staying with you.

We came for a family meal, including people with allergies, and the staff were lovely. They paid close attention and went out of their way to help. The meal was delicious and great value. We’ll be back soon!

We felt really special during our wedding weekend at Stanneylands, exactly what we’d hoped for. We stayed there and invited lots of family and friends, and everyone had a wonderful time. The bar staff, reception team, and cleaners were all kind and cheerfully helped with everyone’s requests. Even the small touches mattered, like setting aside part of the bar for us on Friday evening. We’d absolutely stay again.

We had 16 people in The Chambers for my mum’s 70th birthday cream tea, and it was a lovely private space. The table was pristine and beautifully set with fresh flowers and nice crockery, and staff even helped us put up extra decorations. There was a view through the bullseye glass windows and easy access to the bar. It felt spacious enough for 20. The tea included fresh warm scones, cakes, Danish crowns, ham, egg and smoked salmon sandwiches, plus plenty of tea and coffee. Everything was fresh and good quality, and it felt like great value, though we could each have done with a couple more sandwich fingers. The bar team on 22/02/26 were brilliant, especially with my nephews, and the afternoon tea staff were patient and attentive. From booking and sorting the arrangements through to welcoming us, the team made sure we felt completely looked after. My mum and dad married here nearly 40 years ago, and the team took a real interest and marked the occasion. A great venue, lovely bar, and top service from the front of house and kitchen teams. Thanks for making her birthday special. Five stars.
