I had a birthday lunch with a special friend in this lovely old building. The atmosphere was warm and the staff were friendly. My fish gujon sandwich with lettuce and fresh rocket was delicious, and I enjoyed it with a latteé and iced water. A really nice spot for a lunchtime break, thoroughly recommend. Thanks to the waitresses Zoe and Alison, and chefs Zac, Rob and Pruphui ❤️

06/01-11/01/2026 When I was feeling vulnerable and far from 100%, the team looked after me so well. Karen greeted me warmly and kindly said I could wake her at any time overnight if I needed support. They also moved me to a nicer room closer to reception. I'm grateful to every member of the team for making the stay so caring and lovely. The staff seemed to enjoy their work and take pride in looking after guests. I overheard them speaking with the boss, who seemed well liked, and that makes a difference. My room was immaculate, warm and comfortable, with the usual facilities. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, and I'd recommend the cooked option. The restaurant served a good range of delicious, fairly priced meals throughout the day, and the bar had a great atmosphere and coffee.

We had a fun few days here around our wedding up the road, staying both before and after. Zoe, Alison and the team took great care of us. The service was great, everyone had a can-do attitude, and we enjoyed the chats at the bar. Thanks, all!

We had Christmas lunch here as a group of eight, and Zoe, Jess and Lauren made it such an enjoyable occasion. They were looking after plenty of other tables too, but still went the extra mile for us, and presumably the other diners as well. Their service was truly superb and outstanding.

I wasn't staying at the hotel, just dropped in for a meal. Zoe welcomed me when I arrived, and my food came quickly. Lola brought it over and checked that everything was how I wanted it. Both the food quality and service impressed me, and they made me feel very welcome. I can highly recommend it.
