South Winchester Lodges

We’ve just come back from four nights with family and didn’t want to leave. The lodge was spacious, comfortable and very clean, and the welcome pack was a lovely extra. It was peaceful, with lots of open space to explore, and the secure decking helped keep the young children safe. The hot tub was wonderful and checked every day, and the clubhouse food was lovely. Everything was excellent. We’d definitely return.

The surroundings are peaceful, and the lodges are lovely, spacious and well built, with everything you could need. We slept really well, and the hot tub was lush and looked after daily. The only nuisance, beyond their control, was the mosquitoes seeming to be drawn to the lodges, maybe because of the warmth from the wood, so bring bug spray! We had a lovely stay, highly recommend them and would definitely come back. Thank you SWL!

The lodge was quiet during the day, which made it easy to get work done. The Wi-Fi was excellent, the whirlpool bath worked perfectly, and in the mornings and evenings my daughter and I watched the Olympics on the large TV from the cozy sofa. It felt like a home away from home. We stayed for a week while she attended a nearby tech camp, and the place was perfect for our needs. Spotless and comfortable, with very easy check-in and check-out. By American standards I’d call it a “double-wide,” in the best sense: clean, well-kept and thoughtfully designed. I’d highly recommend South Winchester Lodges to families or anyone after a peaceful, self-contained stay. We both loved it and would stay again. My daughter’s already asking when we can go back!

The hot tub was lovely, and the surroundings and privacy were spot on. In summer, the taller shrubbery gives each chalet a bit more privacy, which is great. The mini communal golf was a nice extra, and the large fridge in the storeroom came in handy since the under-counter one wouldn’t have been enough. We loved everything, but for the price a few small things would have made a difference: an extra roll of toilet paper would’ve been appreciated, plus a sheet of kitchen roll, small toiletries and hand soap. They don’t need to provide much, but a few little extras could lift it from good to great.
