A friendly welcome, and lovely service at breakfast. The room was clean and roomy enough for our suitcases and the dog. Breakfast was an excellent full English. It’s just a short walk from the multistorey car park, then along the river into town. We’d definitely stay again when we’re back in Winchester.

The full English breakfast was a delight, and our quirky, gorgeous room made the stay feel special. We spent two fabulous nights here with our Labrador, George. The team welcomed both of us warmly from the moment we arrived and looked after us so well. We can’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you!

The jail theme was such a fun, unusual touch, and the room was spotless with a comfy bed. My wife and I stayed one night at the black hole bed and breakfast, a great find close to the city centre. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was a great full English. We’d recommend it and will book again next time we’re in Winchester.

That little rooftop terrace is worth the climb, the view is lovely. It’s a short, pleasant walk into Winchester along the river, and the multistorey car park on Chisel street is nearby. There’s no parking on site, but the car park is reasonably priced at £7.50 for 24 hours. The hotel sits on top of a hill on a quirky plot, with spiral stairs up to the 'cells'; there’s also an accessible room on the ground floor. Our clean, spacious room was on the main road, but noise wasn’t really an issue. No tea or coffee in the room, though the breakfast room is open 24 hours and has both. The full English was one of the best we’ve had. At breakfast they asked whether we wanted the room serviced, and we didn’t.

Amazing staff, a great breakfast, and a first-class pub next door. The location’s great too. I’ll 100% book again.
