The food was good, and the portions were decent. Service was great, the staff and front-of-house team were lovely, and the place has a relaxing feel. The Cote de Provence was fairly decent too, since it can vary in taste and price elsewhere. The dessert was lovely, and there was good ale as well. Parking may mean leaving the car on the road because the car park is usually full. It’s rural, though, so that wasn’t an issue for us, just something to be aware of. I’d give it 4.5 if I could. I’d have preferred the broccoli a little less crunchy, but I still ate it. Just a preference, nothing major.

The Old Bakery was clean, cosy and easy to park at, and the welcome pack had everything we needed, including lovely fresh bread. We stayed in the one-bed cottage with our dog, which was essential for us. The pub meal was fantastic, and breakfast is available there if you want it, though we didn’t have any. From booking to arrival, everything went smoothly, and the cottage was well equipped. The pub and its location made a perfect base for a relaxing short break, with plenty to explore nearby.

The Northbrook Arms did a fantastic job hosting my Dad's celebration of life. We had the games room to ourselves, which gave us privacy from the main pub while still feeling like a proper pub, with pool and darts. Callum and Kate kept in touch beforehand and were attentive to all our needs. The food was great and reasonably priced, and staff were available throughout the day. Callum was there from the start to help with setup and the last-minute details. Thanks for such great service. We’ll be glad to come back for a pint on the lawn.

The food was a real treat to look at and tasted even better. The bill, though, was noticeably higher than at other places, and the additional discretionary service charge made that stand out even more. It’s in a lovely Hampshire village, and inside there’s striking design, including a deep well covered with glass.

The food was excellent, with generous portions, and we’ll definitely return when we’re nearby. We’d spent the weekend at Blackwood Forest holidays and came here just now for Sunday lunch. The decor is lovely, our server was incredibly polite, friendly and welcoming, and the bartender was generous and hospitable.
