Our room felt more like a little annexe, with a door leading out to a beautiful garden, and breakfast was high quality. Elena was an absolutely charming host who made both me and my husband feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We had two lovely days at Annesdale House in Windermere, just what we needed, and we'll definitely come back.

The hosts were so welcoming and kind. They even pointed out a great lookout and helped us heat our food. Our room was cosy and beautifully decorated, and the garden was lovely and well kept. It felt like a warm, homely stay. Highly recommend! 🌿✨

Though it's so close to the station, all we heard was birdsong. The location is excellent if you're travelling from London by train or taking day trips around the Lake District by bus. Alena and Roger were wonderful hosts, and we felt privileged to be welcomed into their beautiful home. Our room was gorgeous and roomy, overlooking their incredibly peaceful garden. The spacious bathroom had a large bath and a separate rain shower, and Alena's breakfasts were delicious. Annesdale House felt like a luxurious home away from home. We can't wait to return.

The room at Annesdale was lovely, with a brand new bathroom, and getting to it through the garden made it feel very private. My friend and I stayed two nights in June 2024, and were so impressed by the owners' hospitality. The breakfasts were delicious and cooked to perfection. The host we met was a lovely lady, though I don't know her name, and she did everything she could to make our stay lovely. If we come back to Windermere, this is where we'd stay. Highly recommend.

The house has a comfortable atmosphere and an excellent location. We had a brilliant two-night stay, and Alena made us feel welcome from the start. Nothing was too much trouble for her. We'd definitely stay again.
