The best part for the little ones was the hot tub, snooker table and loads of games, which kept them entertained. We also had a great choice of rooms for our large family, something we struggled to find elsewhere, and each one had good views and bedding. Shops, pubs and the lake were all easy to reach on foot, and the views were fab.

We came back from a family New Year break with some lovely memories. The house is in a special spot, and the hosts went out of their way to make our stay feel special. I've tried spa hotels, B&Bs and lodges all over the Lakes, and this place beats them all by a long way. What an incredible place. Thank you 🙏

That view from the hot tub is even better than the photos suggest, and the tub was ready for us when we arrived. The walk back from the marina, bars and restaurants is a steep one, though it helps put the idea of another drink into perspective. Inside, everything was spotless and clearly cared for, the beds were almost too comfortable, and the showers had strong pressure and loads of hot water. We even had people checking we were still alive in there. We slept better than at home, which was a little annoying, really. Our host was friendly, quick to respond and efficient without hovering or making anything a fuss. We were here for two nights to see friends and would happily come back.
