We enjoyed our three nights in the Cranny. It had everything we needed, plus a bit more. Windermere and Bowness are both about a 15-minute walk away, and we'd recommend staying here.

Andrew and Abigale were brilliant hosts, and they really know their stuff. The rooms are excellent, the food was 5 Star, and you're only five minutes from Windermere. What more could you ask for?

A good base for visiting the Lakes, with a quiet setting and a local pub just two minutes away on foot that serves decent food. The accommodation is clean and compact, well suited to a couple wanting a getaway. Bowness-on-Windermere is a mile down the road, with lovely views over lake Windermere and the surrounding landscape, plus plenty of places to eat and gift shops.

The cottage was spotless, had everything we needed and came at a really good price. Our host was so welcoming and even baked us homemade muffins, a lovely extra. I'd highly recommend it to anyone staying in Windermere.

We had a wonderful stay in the cozy, self-sufficient studio, which is in an excellent location. Abigail and Andrew were lovely hosts, and the home-baked lemon cake was much appreciated.
