Oakfold House

We left the car parked and walked everywhere, including to dinner. The ferry across the largest lake in the district is within walking distance, and everything else felt close by. Oakfold House is a charming, spotless place, from the room to the shared spaces. Even the soaps and fragrances were lovely, and I’ve never stayed somewhere that smelled so nice. There’s a private car park at the back or you can park on the street. Chris and Robyn were so kind. They run a wonderful B&B Hotel, with a great range at breakfast, all delicious and cooked to order. A fantastic base for visiting the Lake District, and we’d happily choose Oakfold again.

I booked this Hotel for my Dad while he spent a couple of days exploring the Lakes on his Motorbike. He came back absolutely delighted with it. He said the Hotel was lovely and the breakfast was gorgeous. Thanks so much for giving him a well-deserved night away ❤️

The location made it easy to get to the lake and plenty of places to eat. I had a comfortable, clean room and a really good breakfast, plus a warm welcome at this beautiful period hotel. I enjoyed my night here and will definitely return.

Room 4 was a cosy single, and the bed was so comfortable that I slept really well. I spent a few lovely nights at Oakfold House. The period features and tasteful decor are lovely, and everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was amazing, cooked perfectly every time. You can tell how much care and attention has gone into the B&B. The location is great too, with lots of fantastic walks and viewpoints nearby. I’d definitely recommend a stay.
