Orrest Head Cottage

A party house with loads of space, lovely bedrooms, a beautiful garden and a great location. I had to send my dog home, though, because the gate onto the busy main road was rotten and wouldn’t close, so it wasn’t safe for him. There wasn’t a welcome pack either.

Spotlessly clean and really spacious, with impressive garden areas and loads of off-road parking. The big house has great facilities and a surprising room you’ll use and enjoy. It’s only a short walk into the town centre.

We had a wonderful week this summer and would have loved to stay longer. It’s a beautiful, luxurious house with plenty of room for everyone. Communication with Liz, who manages the property, was great. Thanks for a lovely stay.

For our pre-Christmas family get-together, this house was more than perfect. There were 10 adults and our two children, and everything was lovely. Open fires were lit for us, so the place was warm and snug. The bar was especially intimate and felt like a special place to gather before meals. The kitchen stove gave us a problem, but Liz and the team sorted it out efficiently and were incredibly helpful. I’ve spent many years working in hospitality, and the professionalism they showed with the cooker issue was on another level. They also clearly wanted us to feel comfortable and relaxed. It felt like a real home from home, just grander than ours. I love Orrest Head House. Sadly, I can’t live there forever, but I’ll certainly book it again and again.
