This quirky little hotel turned out to be a lovely surprise. The room suited our needs, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was really tasty. Having free parking was a bonus, and Windsor Castle is very close. I’d stay here again if I’m in the area.

We left the car in the car park and could walk everywhere easily, since the hotel is so close to everything. In the evening it was lovely to sit in the pub and play backgammon, with staff who know the regulars and create a warm atmosphere. The whole team were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was top notch, especially the perfectly cooked fried eggs. The building is quaint and over 600 years old, yet still comfortable, clean, and warm. A really nice little getaway in a cool historic place.

We stayed on 14/09/25 in Room Two. The rooms are bright and clean, and the bed was super comfy. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. The high street and castle are very close, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores open late. We’ll recommend the place and stay again. Thank you!

The bed was so uncomfortable that I was still hurting days later. The springs seemed worn out and made loud noises whenever I shifted. The hosts said it was a new hotel-grade bed, but if that’s true, they got a bad one. The food looked fantastic and crispy but was disappointing. Some closet hangers were broken, and the shower temperature kept shifting from hot to cold. The location is fantastic, less than a minute’s walk to the bridge and beautiful Thames views. The hosts were very nice and let us into our rooms early since they were ready. It was quiet enough to sleep with the windows open. Arriving before noon means waiting outside until they open. If you pack like an American, with enough for weeks away, getting through the gravel car park on arrival and departure can be a struggle. When I contacted them about what I planned to write in my review, they reminded me check-in is at 2:30pm for a reason, so I recommend not arriving early.
